Archdemons are quite unusual creatures because there is very little known about their species. It is supposed that Archdemons were the guardians of their creator, Mabuz, and some might even go as far as to say companions. The rest of their origins is unknown, but most Supernaturals believe they are long gone or they don't even know of their existence due to the severe lack of information on them. Archdemons would have been long gone, if their essence wasn't still very prominent within the most dangerous parts of the Earth. This leads to the possibility of demons coming into contact with these Essences, which if they survive through the severe transformation, an Archdemon is born.

Archdemons are rather dangerous creatures, as their power typically overwhelms that of most Supernatural's. They are not to be taken lightly, and most of the time will cause a bit of chaos by simply existing.

The Bringers of Chaos

APPEARANCE:

Archdemons have horns twice the size of an Oni's that take any of a variety of shapes: some have curling horns like a ram, others have straight and tall horns like a gazelle’s, and some spiral upward like an antelopes’ horns. Their canine teeth are sharply pointed, and their eyes are typically solid colors—black, red, white, silver, or gold—with no visible sclera or pupil. Their skin tones cover the full range of human coloration, but also include various shades of red, blue, purple and black. The key identifier from the other subspecies is that they have 6 wings, 3 on each side. Their wings are massive, and typically rather beautiful. Thankfully though Archdemons usually have a large stature, permitting them to carry such heavy wings with ease.

Chaos vanishes from our world.. or does it?

After sudden disappearance of the deities, it is believed that Archdemons were forced into the most dangerous places on Earth to stop the destruction they were originally causing for centuries. Their bodies became one with the depths of the Earth on their way out, forcing their chaos to stay hidden in the core for the rest of eternity... or at least, until fate decides otherwise. This is where all the myths of hell being directly in the ground came from, as it was a result of demons that stayed on Earth spreading rumors about the tragedy.

However, after time progressed, Supernaturals began to realize this chaos couldn't remain in the core forever. Every so often, usually around every 500 - 1,000 years, a piece of the pure chaos would clump together like a rock from the pressure of the heat below and arise into cave systems throughout Earth.

What had risen from the core was actually an Archdemon Essence, which is years of compacted chaos that creates an crystal like energy orb. These are extraordinarily unstable unlike Archangel Essence, making it ridiculously hard to keep and making it easily consumed. This is because the crystal-like energy orb is overwhelmed with the sheer amount of chaos it produces, making it like a reactive time bomb. If you don't find them in time, they explode... It'd be best to avoid being around one of those explosions.

This was figured out not very long after the first orb, and Demons tried to keep the chaos crystal-like orbs a secret, Archdemon Essence became extraordinarily hunted as did it's counterpart, Archangel Essence. Most of the time, when this essence is found, it is either on the black market or fate drops it into your lap in a firey mess. Regardless of where it comes from, Archdemon Essence is extraordinarily rare so it's not an easy find. Most species don't even know of it's existence, so trying to track down these essence's proves to be a major challenge.

How does Archdemon Essence affect Supernaturals?

Once the essence is found, it can be used in various ways.

All Non-Demonic Supernaturals (Fae, Angels, Humans):

Any non-demonic Supernatural is in extreme danger when being around this crystal-like energy core. The Essence is extraordinarily explosive, so it is best you stay far from it. Fae are not able to get within 5-10 feet of the essence, as the closer they get, the more their skin is burned. If you are too close, it can cause 3rd degree burns and what feels like painful brain spasms. The weaker you are as a species, the worse it is on you.

Archangels:

Archangels are only able to manage the corruption through fighting against it with their divine energy. However, it is an extraordinarily painful process. They never transition into an Archdemon, but it is possible to have some painful demon essence within their bloodstream and leaves them in pain for the rest of their life. However no cases of this have ever been recorded.

Demons:

Oni's & Sin's

Oni's and Sin's are the most likely to handle the Archdemon Essence. It still causes pain to their bodies, however their natural body composition makes it more tolerable and manageable. It can be said however that they must be fully grown in order to handle this, younger versions are more likely to die.

Succubus/Incubus/Kitsune's

Succubi/Incubi and Kitsune's are less likely to handle the Archdemon Essence without killing themselves due to the burns and brain spasms. It is possible to potentially survive the transition, however it is not nearly as like as their bodies aren't quite the same as an Oni's or Sin's.

Bringers of Chaos

・ This typically means Archdemons bring chaos around them wherever they go. This typically means that they're an extremely enforced bad luck charm to others.

Enhanced Senses

・ This permits Archdemons to have 5 times more enhanced senses than other species.

Influencers of Chaos

・ This allows an Archdemon to influence chaos in others. This is typically done through touch, as they channel their own chaos into another individual by choice. This can either be minimal corruption, where you influence irrational and intrusive thoughts. It can also be physical, where it feels as though their touch is burning. **Please ask and discuss OOC with your partner before doing such a thing to another character. Common sense applies**

Weaknesses

Bodily Pain

・ Archdemon Essence was not meant for demon’s below them, as it’s too strong for their body to cope with correctly. This in result leads to their body to lose functioning the more they use their enhanced abilities

Don't touch the Ultimate Holy

・ Archdemon Essence is entirely made up of anything BUT holiness. If an Archdemon touches anything that is extraordinarily holy, it can be rather painful. They can handle it if it's not too much, however it is good to avoid it regardless.
