DEMON

OVERVIEW

Demons are one of the most powerful races, but also one of the most abundant. They can be quite chaotic creatures, or at least they have been known for being bringers of destruction and chaos. Many stereotypes can be true in their own bland forms, however the deeper you dive into those stereotypes the more there is to uncover and learn. This can be easily said for the status of demons in the world. However, it is still a double edged sword. Demons can either be one of the most loyal individuals you ever meet, or they can be one of the most deadly.

 

Due to their origins resigning with the deity called Mabuz, many species truly believe that demons are the cause of corruption throughout our world. However, this remains untrue as the corruption can also damage demons in various painful ways. That doesn't stop organizations such as Heiwa No Chitsujo from suggesting demons are to blame

for the world's situation. This puts a lot of stress on interactions between other species, and once again, gives them quite the bad wrap.

 

Demons can be quite powerful creatures, but they can also be quite weak. This is entirely based on their heritage, meaning the more pureblooded their bloodline the more powerful they can be born. As a result, demons tend to follow an aura hierarchy due to the power differences. The weak are at the bottom, and the powerful are at the top. If you would like to read more on how an aura hierarchy works, please refer to **CURRENTLY A WIP**. Otherwise, the hierarchy is explained down below. This will help guide interactions between subspecies, however do not use it as a set in stone mentality!

DEMONS DO NOT COME FROM HELL! They are born in the world with the rest of humanity and supernaturals.

..  Biology & Anatomy for all types of Demon

Demonic individuals typically share many characteristics. Here’s a list of all similar traits:

Physiology
Wings, Claws, Horns:

・ At least one

・ Most have two or all three

・ May be stunted or fully formed, and come in a wide variety of styles and colors. 

・ Kitsunes have ears/tails as well but no wings

Colorations:

・ Skin tones range from human colors to otherwise, most commonly human tones and shades of red or blue.

・ Hair, eyes, and flesh can be most colors 

​

Passive Powers/Traits:

Regeneration:

・ Heal breaks in days, deep cuts in hours, and regrow limbs in months.

​

Excelled Senses:
・Compared to humans, demonic figures are twice as sensitive to their senses, speed and strength.

SUBSPECIES

Nephilims

Nephilims are half angels, which typically means they are either half human or half demon while being half angel. Most of the time they are not accepted by either version of their relatives. They are simply seen as an abomination that was never meant to be created, as angels or demons are supposed to be pure. Demons and Angels alike will mistreat or ignore their existence.

     Regardless of the demonic and angelic point of views of Nephilims, Nephilims tend to find refuge within humanity. However, it is still quite difficult. They cannot truly express themselves, as humans cannot know of their true forms. This in result causes a lot of turmoil within someone… However, their angelic side tends to lean towards moral routes, but that is not always the case.

Onis

Oni's reside in small minorities found mostly in the roughest quarters of Tokyo, where they grow up to be swindlers, thieves, or crime lords. Sometimes they live among other minority populations in the poor side of town where they are treated with more respect.

     Lacking any governmental support system, Oni's know that they have to make their own way in the world and that they have to be strong to survive. They are not quick to trust anyone who claims to be a friend, but when an Oni's companions demonstrate that they trust him or her, the Oni learns to extend the same trust to them. And once an Oni gives someone loyalty, the Oni is a firm friend or ally for life.

Kitsunes

Kitsunes are one of the beautifulest creatures out there in the world, and also one of the rarest. There is usually 1 kitsune out of 50 demonic individuals. No one knows their true origination, however some speculate they are descendants of the servants of Mabuz himself. Their aphroditic tendencies tend to leave individuals before them speechless, however don’t let them fool you. Kitsunes are extraordinarily sly creatures and petty thieves. They are labelled as mischievous and artists at confusion by most, as their sly words seem to make anyone stumble over their true meaning.

     However, this does not speak for all Kitsunes. Some have attempted to throw away their label to become something more loyal, and ultimately try to serve those they love dearest to the very end.

Sins

Sin's are extraordinarily unique demons, as their heritage is quite particular compared to the other subspecies. Their origins are supposedly the very first 7 demons that Mabuz created. As time progressed so did their heritage.. and now, there are more than just 7 sins. This means that there are multiples of one Sin, for example there may be hundreds of Lust Sins. However, it is important to note that not everyone plays the part perfectly.   

 

 Sin demons can be quite strong and while the newer generation is not as strong as the old they still hold quite a standing among demons. Well certain sins do anyways… No one knows if the Original Sins still exist, but their generations below them are definitely among us. 

Succubis/Incubis

     Succubus and Incubus, another beautiful species of the demon category. However, their beauty is in more of a sexual view. Their bodies mimic the beauty standards of that time, making their bodies the ideal sexual desire, for both women and men, and nonconforming genders. It is said these creatures arrived into the world to steal the energy, and in worst cases life, of other humans. They do this through the methods of sex. Humans say that they will attack you in your sleep, in your dreams… However, that is far from the truth. They are all around you, physically there in reality of every day life. They can be your partner, and you’d never know it.

     Typically, Succubi and Incubi are both meant for deeming judgement on those that deserve it. However, this is not always the case. Some abuse their abilities simply cause they have the power to do so.

Archdemon Essence
**RESTRICTED**

Archdemons are quite unusual creatures because there is very little known about their species. It is supposed that Archdemons were the guardians of their creator, Mabuz, and some might even go as far as to say companions. The rest of their origins is unknown, but most Supernaturals believe they are long gone or they don't even know of their existence due to the severe lack of information on them. Archdemons would have been long gone, if their essence wasn't still very prominent within the most dangerous parts of the Earth. This leads to the possibility of demons coming into contact with these Essences, which if they survive through the severe transformation, an Archdemon is born.
