Archangels are quite unusual creatures because there is very little known about their species. It is supposed that Archangels were the guardians of their creator, Ushas, and some might even go as far as to say companions. The rest of their origins is unknown, but most Supernaturals believe they are long gone or they don't even know of their existence due to the severe lack of information on them. Archangelswould have been long gone, if their essence wasn't still very prominent within the atmosphere of the Earth. This leads to the possibility of angels coming into contact with these Essences, which if they survive through the severe transformation, an Archangel is born.

Archangels are a powerful angel that led many other angels, but is still loyal to a deity (Ushas), and often seen as belonging to a particular archangelical rank or order. They are typically viewed as protectors and gentle souls, loved by the Fae and other angels. However Demons and Vampires tend to fear these tales.
The Universe Works in Mysterious Ways
APPEARANCE:
Archangels in particular simply look like a human, but with a total of 6 wings and two pearly white horns. They actually do not have halo's, which is a huge stereotype they tend to get upset about as halo's refer to the human religions. This is a result of them holding their creator very closely, deeming Ushas the all powerful and just. However, they still hold Adora to quite high standards as well.. just sometimes like to view Ushas as better. They can also sometimes share similar features to that of a virtue, such as additional eyes. However this remains varied.
Shooting Stars... or divinity?
When the deities had disappeared from our Earth, Archangels were quite lost without Ushas. They hoped for his return, but it never quite seemed to happen. As a result, they tried to fly upwards in hopes to find their deity on another planet or universe. Their bodies became one with the atmosphere on their way out, forcing their divinity to stay in the sky for the rest of eternity... or at least, until fate decides otherwise. This is where all the myths of heaven being directly in the sky came from, as it was a result of angels that stayed on Earth spreading rumors about the tragedy.

However, after time progressed, Supernaturals began to realize this divinity couldn't remain in the sky forever. Every so often, usually around every 500 - 1,000 years, a piece of the divinity would clump together like a rock from the pressure of the atmosphere and fall from the sky like a shooting star.

What had fallen from the sky was actually an Archangel Essence, which is years of compacted divinity that creates an crystal like energy orb. These are extraordinarily stable unlike Archdemon Essence, making it easier to keep. This is because the crystal-like energy orb is shielded by an extraordinarily old Angelic language created by Ushas, which is very similar to Magi but not quite. This helps stabilize the power, and prevents any chaos from contaminating the orb.

Once this was figured out by all Supernaturals after the Angels tried to keep the divinity pieces a secret, Archangel Essence became extraordinarily hunted as did it's counterpart, Archdemon Essence. Most of the time, when this essence is found, it is either on the black market or fate drops it into your lap from the sky. Regardless of where it comes from, Archangel Essence is extraordinarily rare so it's not an easy find.

How does Archangel Essence affect Supernaturals?
Once the essence is found, it can be used in various ways.
​
Fae:
​
Any Fae cannot use this to become an Archangel. However, this does not mean it is a wasteful item for the individual. It can be used in various ways that many scientists would dream of getting their hands on, however the only main thing known is it's an amazing energy core to power up items. Regardless, not many individuals have ever gotten their hands on this so it is still largely unexplored.
​
Demons and Vampires:
​
This essence is like a power bomb of destruction to Demons and Vampires. Simply getting near an Essence piece can cause a burning sensation all along their skin, and touching it can set them on fire. This gets worse the purer the blood concentration.
​
Nephilims and humans:
​
Any half blooded angel (human or demon) and humans, should be very wary of this essence. It is far too powerful for their bodies to handle in a correct fashion so they must NEVER touch it, otherwise their bodies become overpowered and it destroys them from the inside. However they are perfectly capable of getting near it.
​
Dominion and Virtues:
​
Dominion's and Virtue's are the only ones able to use the Archangel Essence to become Archangels. Their bodies are capable of absorbing the powerful energy, which is quite exhausting. Regardless, after a few weeks of recovery, they progressively get stronger as time passes until they reach Archangel limits.

Hierarchy Respect
・ This allows Archangels to force other angelic figures into subordination just by being close to them. It feels like a hazy dream that makes the subordinates want to follow their orders.

Speakers of Peace
・ This typically means Archangels bring peace around them through their voice. This typically means that they're influential on settling arguments, which also means they're pretty good at negotiating
​
Enhanced Senses
・ This permits Archangels to have 5 times more enhanced senses than other species.
​
Anti-Chaos
・ This allows an Archangel to erode corruption out of individuals. It is also a form of healing, allowing an Archangel to heal wounds. However, this is an extraordinarily slow process and takes several attempts. IT DOES NOT WORK ON DEMONS OR VAMPIRES, INSTEAD IS QUITE PAINFUL!

Weaknesses

Corruption
・ Archangel Essence was not meant for corruption, which it is easily susceptible to. This in result makes it easy to hurt an Archangel with corruption far more than any other species.
​
Moral Force
・ Archangels have core values deep within them. It is very rare an Archangel will go against these core values, however it has been known to happen. Regardless, if they so choose to go against their morals, it will be a constant battle on the inside.
