KOBURA NO NOROI

Kobura No Noroi is one of the three factions within the Council. They help govern the people of Tokyo on the occassion, but their main focus is keeping the beasts away from the city walls. They can arguably be determined as one of the most dangerous factions within the group, as their methods of dealing with situations can be considered quite barbaric. Overall, not many individuals understand the true goals of this faction. Many never thought a group of dangerous thugs would be apart of the Council one day..

Regardless of their heroic job of defending the city, many individuals still look down upon Kobura No Noroi. Kobura No Noroi is seen as low-life thugs who cause nothing but trouble for the city itself, which sometimes can be true when they're having fun in the city limits. However, their leader Malefic Towser is not someone to look down upon. He is a powerful and mentally disturbed man who actively keeps the weak in their place. He hates failure and will whip anyone into shape or cut their rope so they're not pulling dead weight.

ORIGIN STORY

There are many tales that come with this origin story, various different versions ranging from vast perspectives and rumors. Many speculate that Kobura No Noroi began with a group of misfits who liked to cause chaos, while others believe the faction started in protest to the mistreatment of individuals who remain outside of societal norms. Regardless of these stories, the origination of Kobura No Noroi remains factually unknown. Their history dates back so far that a time frame could not be given, however they began to rise to powerful stature within 600 B.C. (to humans, at least) which can be translated to be around 2622 years ago.

Their rise to power began with a powerful Supernatural woman named Skadi, who began to get the faction noticed through her harsh and rather cruel approaches to situations. She began dealing with more corrupt matters, becoming a mob that did the dirty work for anyone who could slide over an extra coin. They had already been on Heiwa No Chitsujo's radar, however this only worsened with the new tyrant rising to power. Skadi didn't seem to fear Heiwa, but rather adored taunting them. The rules didn't apply to Kobura, as they had their own rules to abide by.  Although things began to take a turn for the worst when rumors of a Supernatural being was on a murderous rampage of all life. Havoc and chaos arose, until it became a race between Heiwa and Kobura to find this individual. Heiwa wanted to lock the monster away, while Kobura wanted to use his destructive abilities to their advantage.

One fateful day, Skadi came across the so called 'monster' who terrorized everyone around him. He seemed to be nothing more than a young boy, but upon closer inspection, he was a beyond powerful kid with little control over his rage and mental disabilities. He seemed explosively bipolar, which resulted in blind rages that killed thousands. Regardless of his dangerous side, Skadi took the boy under her wing. Some argue she did this to use him as a tool against Heiwa, but some even speculate she looked at him like family. Despite all that, the boy's name was Malefic Towser and he was more than Kobura could imagine.

Skadi and Malefic began reigning fear and terror together, rising through society in the shadows as she used Malefic's abilities to kill anyone who dared step in their way. It was quickly rumored that Skadi had found the monster, who many now labeled as the 'Mad Dog' from the stories told of witnesses or survivors. Not that there was very many. They claimed he could transform into a blood hungry beast, but described in such a way that it seemed nearly impossible. Nobody knew how Skadi had a leash on this Mad Dog, but one thing was for sure.. She was going to lose her grip.

News broke through the ranks around 200 years ago, spreading rhrough Kobura No Noroi and then throughout the Supernatural world. Skadi had been killed, and her reign of terror was over... or so everyone thought. Without skipping a beat, Malefic Towser rose to the top in a larger shadow than his predecessor. He was strict, harsh, cruel, unstable and so much more. He forced his soldiers to whip into shape, daring them to go through their limits and beyond. Some people even wish Skadi would come back, but no one dares say such a thing with Malefic around.

In current days, Kobura No Noroi resides within the Council. Surprise for sure, as dangerous as they are. However, Kobura No Noroi was one of the first Supernatural's to come to the human's aid against the rise of beasts. They were quick to propose peace with Heiwa and Shubaki, and ultimately helped create the Council in the first place. Not many know of their ambitions or goals, so many tend to fear Kobura despite their line of work.

RANKS AND HIERARCHY

At the very top belongs the King. No matter male or female, the King is typically the overall name given to the leader of this group. As of right now, this title belongs to _____. He makes sure everyone and everything stays in line, or else. _____ is severely feared for his bipolar tendencies, and lack of patience, so many believe that _____ runs this faction purely off fear and respect for strength. However despite his irrational emotions, _____ is actually a calculated and deadly individual who has what it takes to keep his members in check.

Next in line are the Cobras, which are limited to 5 individuals. Their task is to manage their own sections of the mob, and report back to the King if any issues arise they cannot control. They are typically labeled by numbers, which are given to them based on strength. However, 1 is the weakest, and 5 is the strongest. However each Cobra is known for a set of skills in particular departments of Kobura No Noroi. These skillsets will be explained below.

Cobra 1: Healers/Scientists

Being one of the newer developed departments along with it's Cobra, this is still in the progression of being built upon. This department works mainly on the healing aspect of Kobura No Noroi as it's not quite uncommon for individuals to fall victim to intense wounds in their line of work. They mainly focus on healing those around them, such as working at the Sunstar Clinic or accompanying other groups into battle. However, Towser has begun to allow this group to dabble in knowledge on Corruption outside the walls. Very little is known so far, but this Cobra allows their members to explore outside the walls for viable information.

Cobra 2: Inner Wall Protectors
This department is also fairly new in regards to Corruption's timeline, however it was originally in place for similar benefits such as the destruction of smaller gangs. Although focusing on the same situations, Cobra 2's group keeps gangs and other growing chaos under control. They mainly focus in Kobura No Noroi's territory, however sometimes are there to provide support and manpower to Heiwa's enforcers.

Cobra 3: Recruit Mentor

This department is one of the long lasting one's, however it's Cobra is fairly new to the department. This group primarily focuses on working with the Boa's of Kobura No Noroi, making sure their training is going well and all slackers are cut off from the group. They spend most of their time within the training grounds of Kobura's tree base, however sometimes this group can be sent off to any other group that needs more manpower when truly needed.

Cobra 4: Intelligence/Organizational Value

The longest lasting department, this Cobra focuses their efforts onto making connections with with other organizations and handling larger and more detrimental squabbles. This faction is where Kobura gains all of it's knowledge, as they're not quite assassins but very close to them. These individuals are highly regarded for their line of work and are tended to be viewed in a perfect lens. However some argue this is a result of the Cobra overruling the group..

Cobra 5: Outer Wall Protectors

The newest department but with the oldest Cobra, this group focuses on keeping Corruption at bay outside the walls. Their job is dangerous and highly regarded, however not many individuals are always permitted to join this group. One must have higher ranks than their peers and to have proven themselves worthy of handling corruption methodically. This typically includes those who can participate in combat with distance, allowing themselves to remain free from possible Corruption infections.

Following up are the Vipers, which are sectioned off into 5 groups lead by one of the five Cobra's per group. This is the backbone of Kobura no Noroi as they provide the numbers and skill. They follow the strict orders of their Cobra’s, otherwise they could receive harsh punishment for their failures. Each group of Vipers typically follows orders and jobs dedicated to their Cobra's tasks, so make sure to choose your Cobra wisely!

Cobra 1 VIPERS: Moutos

Cobra 2 VIPERS: Pits

Cobra 3 VIPERS: Berus

Cobra 4 VIPERS: Aspis

Cobra 5 VIPERS: Ammodytes

Lastly, we have the Boas. These are the brand new recruits of Kobura no Noroi, and have not been placed under a Cobra yet. They must go through harsh training before being given to a Cobra. If unable to achieve this goal, they ultimately are removed from the mob entirely… Some will even go missing.

LOCATION

Not much is known of Kobura No Noroi's base location by the vast majority of the population. However one thing is understood, and that's Kobura No Noroi is located outside of Tokyo's walls. In truth, Kobura No Noroi is within the woods surrounding Tokyo after growing from Aokigahara, which used to be much smaller until the collapse of civilization. 2-3 miles out, deep within the sea of trees with evergreen conifers, is a giant tree that resembles an oversized Olive Tree. However this tree in particular is extoardinarily unique... and dangerous.

When approaching the tree, it shows it's true identity. The tree is very much alive, and almost sentient, as it can maneuver around to kill anything within reach of it's long branches. It cannot move from it's spot however, so make sure you judge the length of it's branches very carefully. Regardless, members with their tattoo's of loyalty pledged to Kobura No Noroi will always have free access to pass without any worry. If you make it past the massive tree, within it's jagged-like mouth is a deep rabbit's hole that one must jump inside in order to enter Kobura No Noroi.

Now, once you fall through what would feel like a bottomless pit, you'd land upon a soft net firmly connected to stone walls to prevent you from hitting the harsh ground. You can easily slide off the net onto the ground, before entering what'd feel like a whole new world. It's beauty is quite honestly astonishing for such a scary tree...

Underneath the surface is an entire world of it's own. A giant cave of astonishing height resides down there, with branches scattering all throughout. It's almost like the tree created a home just for Kobura No Noroi, allowing for all kinds of room for training, sleeping and more. Each room is large and spacious, allowing for all kinds of furniture and training grounds to be found.

Now how do you get out? The tree provides an exit when anyone is looking to leave, so that way it can close the exit and keep everything safe. Only one way to get in, and one way to get out.

However, this is not the only location Kobura No Noroi resides within. After all, they must have a place of their own within the city. Kobura No Noroi has it's own territory within the city, which is considered the poorer parts of Tokyo, where buildings all alike are run down and cracking in concrete. It is quite the sketchy neighborhood, so be careful!

The main spot of attraction for Kobura No Noroi members is their Cafe, otherwise known as Abuelita’s Coffee Shop. This shop is no different than other buildings in the poor side, as it's run down and overtaken by plants of all sorts. Some of the paint is chipping off, and overall the building looks like it's going to fall apart. However, regardless of this concern for safety, the building has quite the homey and welcoming feeling to it.

Kobura No Noroi members tend to flock here, however that doesn't make this building unsafe. Actually it does the opposite. There's a rule here, placed by Abuelita the grandmother herself. NO FIGHTING. Any bickering, physical combat, and other forms of fighting are strictly prohibited. Abuelita welcomes all to her coffee shop, making it a safe space for those even outside of Kobura No Noroi.

This doesn't mean you can abuse this either. Kobura No Noroi is extraordinarily defensive of Abuelita and respect her almost just as much as they do their leader. Do not even think about messing with this coffee shop, or you may face the wrath of all of Kobura No Noroi.
